As for maintenance - they are unwilling to take responsibility for repairing ANYTHING. Their "handyman" will come in and do quick fixes, but you'll be calling again about the same problem within the month. During our time here, we had to call about our HVAC unit at least a half a dozen times. Our A.C. would run constantly, without actually cooling down the unit. Only until they called HVAC professionals was this issue resolved. Even after this, our A.C. would make a high-pitched squeal for the first 2 minutes after turning it on. This was not deemed as an issue by the managers of the property and maintenance. In Winter, we had additional issues with the heating that, once again, required a professional hand to fix.
These apartments are comparable in size to Cumberland Green. But slightly less expensive. It doesn't have a tennis court and fitness center.
1 mile to nearby restaurants and Wawa. 2 miles to Acme or Shop Rite.
15$Off if u drive wit Ellis oreo
This is a beautifully secluded development.
The complex charges nearly $1,000 a month for a one-bedroom and then extra to use the pool facilities, but where that money is going, I have no idea. The only thing this property seems to take minimal pride in is landscaping, although that is poorly done and the landscapers they hire are unprofessional (I've had to drive around one of them resting IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD). The independent contractors hired are rude (and, quite possibly, dumb), having once talked about me while doing work outside of my own apartment!
Near Cumberland Players.
Community sits about 1/4 mile back from the main road.
Furthermore, the maintenance man is unprofessional. When entering our apartment, he made himself at home. Once I came home to the toilet seat up after he had used the bathroom while in our apartment. Twice, when dealing with the aforementioned HVAC issue, our A.C. was left running ALL day after he left our unit. On both occasions, it was at cost to us – once, the windows were open when they left the A.C. running, and the second time was a cool day where we would not have used the A.C. at all! The maintenance man has left lights on, has closed doors that blocked access to the litter box for our cat, has rummaged through my desk to borrow a pen, has left items in our apartment, and has even re-arranged furnishings! When I have called the front office to complain, I was met with weak and insincere apologies. My request that maintenance not be allowed in the apartment unless we were home were ignored.
Additionally, issues take forever to be resolved. When my oven broke, it took OVER A WEEK to get a replacement. When the replacement was on back-order, neither Alicia nor Rebecca thought it necessary to inform me of the delay. Both managers are entirely incapable of addressing and resolving resident complaints, and would rather ignore the situation and hope is goes away. Several months before we ended out lease, we needed a towel rack replaced. It took two days for the repair to be made, and we were left with gaping holes in our bathroom where the previous towel rack had been. We were told that the maintenance man would come back to plaster, sand, and paint the holes. This had still not been completed when we moved out nearly three months later.
May pay rent electronically.
Oak Valley is a beautiful place to live, but it is very expensive and it seems like there are more children living out there now so it can get a little noisy and sometimes they play in the driveway. The office managers are wonderful, especially the assistant manager.
Although these apartments are priced like "luxury apartments" and "townhouses,” they are outdated and poorly maintained. Upon moving in, I found the apartment to be dirty. I sincerely doubt they had it cleaned before renting it out. The kitchen and bathroom have not been updated since the apartments were built. You must pay an additional $100/month for the duration of your lease to get the “updated” kitchen, while no updated bathrooms are available. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and grungy. In the shower, the tiles surrounding the faucet and knobs were caved in and in need of desperate repair. The water pressure was poor and, upon complaint, the maintenance solution was to clean the showerhead (another indication that the apartment had not been properly cleaned before being rented to us).
Sweet management staff. Attentive maintenance crew.
Very large rooms. Great living space. Safe neighborhood.
These are very reasonably for the amount of space you get and the nice secluded, quiet, wooded area.
I advise you - look elsewhere! Believe me, it is worth the extra money to live in another community. If this experience has taught me anything, you get what you pay for!
Not a bad place to live but it is too expensive for what you are getting. Also if you live in a downstairs unit you are going to regret it, you can hear absolutely everything upstairs even when they walk get out of bed and my upstairs neighbors aren't loud at all but you can hear every step they take its horrible! Cant believe they charge so much for these apartments.
