I have been a fan ever sense I discovered Golden Corral. The food is great and the price is affordable. I eat at Golden Corral in Vineland, NJ, where I live, and at Golden Corral when I visit Florida. I try to connect with Golden Corral whenever I travel. Awesome food, attentive and friendly staff. Give it a try. You'll become a fan too.
Sometimes the food is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's fresh and pretty good and other times it's like eating leftovers. The vegetables and fruit seems to be always fresh.
I have been to this restaurant a few times in the past. My previous visits have been mostly positive. This was not the case on my recent visit! In my opinion it has really gone downhill. To start the inside was very dirty. I'm not saying a few pieces of food dropped on the floor. I mean the rugs are so stained that they haven't been cleaned well in a long time. I found a few items on the buffet that I liked and a few I didn't. I guess that is normal at a buffet. One item that was always great here was the mashed potatoes. Another reviewer stated that they were gray. This person was spot on!!! Why the heck are they that color? Our server was cool and I had no problem with him. It just seems that the the quality of the food and general housekeeping is nowhere near what it once was.
I would have gave it one more star but the women's bathroom seems to be pretty stinky and not very clean.
The food is good, the wait staff is friendly. I just can't get past the disgusting bathrooms and the horrid implications that holds on the sanitation of the plates and scooping utensils. These problems are the kryptonite of buffets everywhere. I cringe at myself every time I cave in and return. Some day buffet restaurants will realize the importance of a well paid full time porter.
Sad to say. The food was over cooked and dry. I got there around 7 and the food look as it had been sitting all day. The only bright note was the staff and the banana pudding. The staff was friendly and helpful. I haven't eaten in a Golden Corral in close to five years so I figured I would give it another try. I will not be returning.
