Although I do not have any children who are attending St.Mary's school if I did it would be my "hands down" choice for their grammar school education. I have attended several events at St.Mary's including Mass, fundraisers and socials where the children have been in attendance for either entertainment or assisting with the event. Everyone who I have come in contact with has the best interest of their students and family at heart. It is a safe and welcoming atmosphere where they do not compromise the value of a religious education or are influenced by outside sources who frown upon such an education. I highly recommend visiting the school or scheduling a meeting to see just what is offered and how it will positively influence your child's education and Christian upbringing.
My Children are so very happy at St. Mary School. We are very happy with our everything they have to offer my children. I have also made life long friends through all my years of volunteering at the school!
A sad & disappointing experience! My son attended from preK4-grade5. It was wonderful under Sr. Margret's days as principal. Once in 3rd grade there was a dramatic difference! A once bubbly & happy boy, the teacher ruined my son's self esteem. I had NO support from new principal. I was treated much differently then the parent's who had other children there or went there themselves. Many of the teacher's & staff belong to that same clique, so it became impossible for me to fit in. Sadly, this meant my son getting left out as well. Bullying is a problem & little will get done if the bully comes from an "in" family. There are a few teacher's that fall under the bullying category as well. The bottom line is this, your child will only thieve here if you are willing to sell out & join the crowd or if you are willing to open your wallet and buy your child's happiness. This was something I did NOT want my child to learn. He did come out a bit jaded, I could go on and on with some very shocking stories, but I will not allow the people in that school to negatively effect my family any longer. Cathy Collini, Mrs DiOrio, Mrs. Corrigan, Kit Stout, Mrs. Battelini and Miss Quinlan are wonderful! I have NOT ONE negative thing to say about them. They are what kept us there as long as we were. Please only send your children here if you can stay 120% on top of EVERYTHING! You can not make the same mistake I did and believe they have you child's best interest at heart. Also, teach your child the meaning of hypocrisy....they will be seeing several shameful examples on a daily basis!
I have no doubt that St. Mary School is the best choice for my children to provide them with a strong Catholic faith based education. It is a safe family environment with caring teachers.
